
Hollywood actress Sharon Stone has opened up about her near-death experience after suffering a stroke and a brain hemorrhage in 2001. In a new interview with Chris Wallace, Stone said that she “lost everything” as a result of her stroke, including her ability to walk and talk.
“I had to learn everything all over again,” Stone said. “It was a very difficult time, but I’m grateful to be alive.”
She also revealed to Variety that many people were “brutally unkind” during her recovery.
Stone also spoke about the challenges she faced when she returned to Hollywood after her stroke. She said that she was often turned down for roles because directors didn’t think she would be able to handle them.
“I had to fight very hard to get my career back on track,” Stone said. “But I was determined to do it.”
Stone has since gone on to star in a number of successful films and television shows, including “Basic Instinct,” “Casino,” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” She is also a vocal advocate for stroke survivors and people with disabilities.

“I wanted to write a book about the beauty of living twice,” Stone said. “About the fact that we all have the power to start over and create the life we want.”
Stone said that writing the book was a “therapeutic” experience for her. It helped her to process her own trauma and to come to a deeper understanding of herself.
“I learned a lot about myself in the process of writing this book,” Stone said. “I learned that I’m stronger than I thought I was and that I’m capable of anything.”
Stone’s book, “The Beauty of Living Twice,” is scheduled to be released on September 26, 2023.
