Victorious Indian Contingent Receives Praise from PM Modi at World Archery Championship

Three Indian Contingent women’s compound team from India created history by winning the gold medal in the World Archery Championship 2023 in Berlin.
Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Aditi Swamy, and Praneet Kaur The women defeated the Mexicans Dafne Quintero, Ana Sofa Hernandez Jeon, and Andrea Becerra with a score of 235-229 in the final match, which was held in Berlin.
The Indian team defeated Colombia 220-216 in a semi-final match and defeated China 228-226 in the quarter-finals of the world archery championship tournament 2023.
These three women made history because there is no gold medal in the archery category for India. These three women brought the first gold medal to India.
The Indian women’s first appearance at the World Archery Championship was in 1981. Since 1981, India has lost the world archery championship finals four times and five times in the non-olympic competition discipline.
