After 25 years, Netflix has ended its DVD-only service. Netflix has announced that the Last DVD will be shipped on September 29th, heralding the end of an era. The company was started by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in 1998 as a DVD mail subscription service. The first Netflix DVD was mailed out of an old bank building, said Randolph.
