Mission Rani Ganj’s Opening Day Box Office Collection Commences with a Modest 2 Crores
Akshay Kumar Mission Raniganj Box Office Collection is the latest release, and the film opened with 2.8 crore on Friday, but on Sunday, this movie collected Rs 4.85 crore. Mission Raniganj Movie Director Tinu Suresh Desai and Mission Raniganj Movie co-star Parineeti Chopra Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 18.20 percent on Sunday, as per the report.
Akshay Kumar has portrayed the role of Jaswant Singh Gill in this true story, which revolves around how the mining engineer from IIT Dhanbad rescued 65 trapped miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989. In this movie, the stars are Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. The Mission Raniganj movie has received positive reviews from critics. Mission RaniGanj is the third movie by Akshay Kumar after Selfiee and OMG 2. Akshay Kumar is facing some backlash from his fans for advertising tobacco products.
Akshay Kumar told PTI in an interview, “We are going through a very nice phase where people are doing all kinds of films and they are working. I have done both kinds of films (content and masala entertainers). Don’t put pressure on the film by thinking that it will do business. I can do that kind of film (commercial) and get that kind of numbers also. But I am happy doing a film that brings a change in the society.”
Mission Raniganj had an overall occupancy of 18 percent, a stunningly low statistic that virtually guarantees the film a lifetime gross of about Rs 20 crore. The film is just slightly ahead of Akshay Kumar’s Selfie, which started at Rs 25.5 crore and grossed Rs 10.30 crore over the weekend.
