Minnesota Vikings Defeat Philadelphia Eagles

Wyanews: The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 24-7 in a Week 2 matchup on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Vikings jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, thanks to a 37-yard field goal by Greg Joseph and a 1-yard touchdown run by Dalvin Cook. The Eagles got on the board in the second quarter with a 35-yard field goal by Jake Elliott, but the Vikings responded with a 1-yard touchdown run by Alexander Mattison to take a 21-3 lead into halftime.

The Vikings extended their lead to 24-3 in the third quarter on a 25-yard field goal by Joseph. The Eagles finally got on the board again in the fourth quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run by Miles Sanders, but it was too little, too late.

Cook had a big game for the Vikings, rushing for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Justin Jefferson also had a big game, catching six passes for 101 yards.

The Eagles were led by Jalen Hurts, who threw for 222 yards and one touchdown.

The Vikings’ victory improved their record to 2-0. The Eagles fell to 1-1.
