Tottenham Hotspur went top of the Premier League table on Saturday, despite playing the whole of the second half with 10 men, after a 1-0 win at Luton Town.

Micky van de Ven scored the winner for Spurs in the 52nd minute, after Yves Bissouma was sent off for a second bookable offence just before half-time.

But Antonio Conte’s side showed great character to hold on to their lead, and they now sit two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.

The Spurs coach, Ange Postecoglou, praised his team’s determination and strength. The Spurs have not lost any of their first eight league games. They are now two points ahead of Manchester City and three points ahead of Arsenal, who will play on Sunday. Luton Town has only four points.

The Spurs had one player, Yves Bissouma, sent off for getting two yellow cards in the first half. But despite playing with one player less, they managed to score a goal in the second half and win the game.

Luton Town had some good chances to score, but they couldn’t find the back of the net. In the early minutes of the game, the Spurs had a lot of control, but they couldn’t score. Luton Town’s goalkeeper, Thomas Kaminski, made some important saves to keep his team in the game.

Luton Town thought they had scored a goal in the first half, but it was disallowed after a video review because of a foul by one of their players. This decision was a turning point in the game.

Despite a strong start by the Spurs, they had to adapt to playing with one player less after the red card. Luton Town had a chance to score in the second half, but they missed it. Then, in the 52nd minute, Micky van de Ven scored the winning goal for the Spurs.

So, Tottenham Hotspur won the game 1-0 and moved to the top of the Premier League, while Luton Town is still looking for their first home win of the season.

Antonio Conte was full of praise for his team’s character after the game.
