Oppositions Walked Out From Home When Modi Addressed the No Confidence Motion Why?
On Thursday, the Lok Sabha defeated the no-confidence motion, which was brought forward by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi, after the opposition walked out while Prime Minister Modi spoke regarding the no-confidence motion.
On the last day of the Monsoon Parliament session, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to take action on the Central Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill 2023 for consideration and pass the bill in the Lok Sabha.
Earlier on Thursday, the Lok Sabha defeated the no-confidence motion, which was put forward by Congress MP Gourav Gogoi, after the opposition walked out of the parliament while Modi addressed the no-confidence motion.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary’s suspension from Parliament
The proceedings ended with the suspension of opposition leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, not by the Supreme Court but by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi.
Adhir Rajan Chowdhary said to the media during the interview with the news channels in front of the parliament that he was ready to bear any kind of punishment if he was wrong in his statements and also stated that Modi has not yet broken his silence on Manipur Urest.
During the day in the house, both parties disrupt each other, leading to adjournments. While the Lok Sabha adjourned due to the loud protests by the opposition till 12:00 pm, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar adjourned the Rajya Sabha till 2 pm because the fire was more caused by the words between the opposition and the ruling party during the discussion of violence in Manipur.
Rajya sabha Passing 2023 Bills
After the launch session and intense opposition protests, the Rajya Sabha quickly introduced the Chief Election Commissioner Bill 2023, the other Election Commissioner Bill 2023, and the Post Office Bill 2023. It also passed the pharmacy bill for 2023. The sloganeering continued for the day before adjourning.
