Israel's military calls on all civilians in Gaza City to relocate south within 24 hours

Oct 13, JERUSALEM/TEL AVIV: Israel’s military warned Gaza residents on Friday to evacuate to the south of the territory within 24 hours, as it amassed tanks and troops on the border ahead of an expected ground invasion.

The warning came after Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said on Thursday that “now is a time for war”.

The Israeli military said that the evacuation order was necessary to protect civilians from “the threat of Hamas and other terrorist groups”.

Hamas has condemned the evacuation order, calling it “a war crime”.

Israel says they want to get rid of a group called Hamas that attacked them. But sending troops into Gaza is dangerous because Hamas has taken hostages.

As desperation rises in Palestine. The Israeli military said Thursday that their complete siege on the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip would remain in place until Hamas terrorists freed 100 Israeli hostages taken during a deadly weekend massacre.

The Red Cross and the UN are saying that Gaza is running out of fuel for hospitals and food and water are getting low. The situation is causing a lot of suffering for people.

Israel’s military said it was “currently not aware of the use of weapons containing white phosphorus in Gaza.” North Korea denied on Friday its weapons were used by Hamas in the attack against Israel, saying the claim made in some media reports was a bid by Washington to divert the blame for the conflict from itself to a third country.

U.S. official, presumably Secretary of State Antony Blinken, on a Middle East tour. In this excerpt, it is mentioned that on a Friday, Blinken was scheduled to meet with Jordan’s King Abdullah and Mahmoud Abbas, who is the head of the Palestinian Authority in the Israeli-occupied West Bank

Blinken had plans to visit several key U.S. allies in the Middle East, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. These visits were likely aimed at discussing regional issues and seeking cooperation from these countries, some of which have influence on Hamas, an Islamist group that is backed by Iran.

The Israeli military has been carrying out airstrikes on Gaza since Monday, in response to rocket attacks from Hamas.

Over 2600+ people have been killed in the violence, including at least 450+ children on both sides.

The United Nations has called for an immediate ceasefire, but both sides have so far refused to comply.

The situation in Gaza is rapidly deteriorating, and the evacuation order is a sign that Israel is preparing for a major escalation of the conflict.
