Three people were killed and several others injured in a shooting at a luxury shopping mall in the center of Bangkok on Monday, October 3, 2023.
Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy who went on a shooting rampage, killing three people and injuring four others on Tuesday afternoon
The shooting took place at the Siam Paragon shopping mall, one of the largest and most popular malls in Bangkok. The gunman, who has not yet been identified, opened fire in the mall’s food court, killing three people and injuring several others.

“I would like to express my deepest condolences to the families of those who died in the shooting incident in the area of Siam Paragon Mall. And I would like to offer my support to the family of the deceased. and all those who were injured as well Police officers quickly entered the area. And I received a report from the Police Commander who was stationed at the scene that the culprit has now been arrested. But I still want to ask about security. and facilitating people to return home safely as well,” Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin posted on X
The gunman was eventually apprehended by security guards and police. He is currently being held in custody and is being questioned by police.
The motive for the shooting is still under investigation. However, police believe that the gunman may have been mentally ill.
