India’s Chandrayaan-3: Lander’s Remarkable Moon Touchdown

India Chandrayaan-3 Vikram Lander has touched down on the lunar surface once again. The Indian Space Agency (ISRO) said today Vikram Lander has exceeded the Chandrayaan-3 mission objectives and successfully completed a hop experiment, according to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
- ISRO Said On command, it fired the engines, elevated itself by about 40cm as expected, and landed safely at a distance of 30–40 cm away.
- This Achievement Kickstart enthuses future sample returns and human missions. ISRO said that the Vikram systems are healthy and perform nominally. Vikram systems are deployed with RAMP equipment.
- ChaSTE and ILSA were folded back, and they were successfully redeployed after the experiment. In the last week, the Chandrayaan-3 mission Pragyan Rover was set into sleep mode, but the batteries were charged and the receiver was on.
- The Indian Space Research Agency said that there is hope for a successful awakening for another set of assignments. It will forever stay there as the Indian lunar ambassador.
- India made history as the first country to land near the south pole of the moon with its Chandrayaan-3 lander in the last month.
ISRO is slated to launch the three-day crewed mission into the Earth’s orbit by next year. It will also plan to join the mission with Japan to send the probe to the moon by 2025 and the orbital mission to Venus within the next two years.
