Cauvery Water Dispute’s Effect on Bengaluru School Holiday on September 26

The Various Organizations in the Cauvery Water Dispute, including the Farmers and the Pro-Kannada Groups, have taken the decision called for the city Wide Bandh in Bengaluru on September 26th for the Protest against the Karnataka Decision for the Release of the Cauvery Water to the Tamil Nadu. The bandh in Bengaluru is aimed at making the government reconsider its stance. It was announced by Education Minister BC Nagesh that the focus is on student and teacher safety.
- BC Nagesh stated that parents should take care of their children and advised them to keep them at home safely because of the disturbances on the State Wide Bandh and the limit on travels, which will affect transportation and the essential services in Bengaluru.
- Several organizations, farmers, and pro-Kannada groups are going to the planning for Bengaluru City Bandh from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on September 26th to voice their opposition to the Karnataka government decision, which is the release of the Cauvery Water to Tamil Nadu.
- The main theme of the protest is to stop the release of the Cauvery Water to Tamil Nadu and reconsider its stance on the Cauvery Water Dispute.
- The Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister, BC Nagesh, made the announcement on September 25 regarding the issue of the Cauvery Water Dispute for this scheduled Bengaluru state-wide bandh on September 26th.
- BC Nagesh stated that it was announced that the bandh would not affect the students or the teachers, and we are making the major decision keeping their safety in mind.
The State Wide Bandh on September 26th was a protest against the government decision and influenced their only limit on travel, and it will affect the Transportation Vital Services. We were advised by the parents to keep their children safe in their homes because of the disruptions in the state during the protests against the government.
