Telangana’s Agricultural Transformation: CM KCR Implements Farmer Loan Waiver
Chief Minister Shri Chandra Shekar Rao has decided to resume the farmer loan waiver program on August 3rd. He reiterated that agriculture development is the main objective of the Telangana government and the Telangana farmer’s welfare. CM KCR has made it clear that he will stick to his promises, which were given to the farmers for their welfare.
The KCR said that the slowdown was caused by the demonstration decision taken by the central government. The financial problems were caused by Corona; the central government did not release the FRBM funds.
The central government has taken factional actions towards our state, so that’s the reason for the delay due to the financial deficit. CM KCR speaks in the meeting about the Farmers Loan Waiver, why it stopped, and the reasons
The Chief Minister said, as per the promise, we have continued the farmer loan waiver program due to unexpected disturbances like the Corona central government unilaterally cutting the FRM funds. For that reason, Telangana has delayed the farmer loan waiver program for some time.
The Telangana government decided to continue the state farmer loan waiver and the schemes that are there for the farmer loan waiver, like Rythu Bandhu, and Rythu Bima Free irrigation and electricity for the farmer will continue; there is no doubt that we are working together to put the agricultural families in a high position.
As we said before, how many ups and downs and losses will come to the state government? We don’t stop the schemes, and we stick to our promises, which we gave to the farmers. We will soon initiate ideal programs for food processing units for agricultural development. The CM said there is no need to rest until the farmers are financially uplifted.

The KCR said that in addition to the already provided loan waiver, another 19 thousand crore rupee loan waiver has to be provided to the farmers.
The Chief Minister directed Finance Minister Harish Rao and Secretary Ramakrishna Rao to start the farmer loan waiver program on August 3rd and complete the loan waiver program in 15 days by the end of the first week of September.
