Asian Games 2023: Narender Berwal Claims Bronze in +92kg Boxing and Annu Rani, Parul Chaudhary Claims Gold Medals in Javelin

India has won the first medal in the Asian Games as Narender Berwal secured the first bronze medal in the +92 kg category in boxing. Annu Rani has won the second Asian Games medal. Annu is a 31-year-old woman who won a bronze medal in Incheon in 2014 with the best throw distance of 59.53 m, and on Tuesday she won the second medal in the Asian Games, the gold medal in the javelin throw at Hangzhou. Annu Rani cleared the fourth attempt with a distance of 62.92 m. This round helped her jump into the lead in the game. Dilhani Lekamge has won silver with a best throw distance of 61.57 m. Lyu Huihui, who threw 61.29 m, has won a bronze medal; both are from China.

Parul Chaudhary has made the nation proud by winning the gold medal and silver medal in the ongoing Asian Games. The 28-year-old won in the women’s 5000m race and was honored with a gold medal, and she also won the Silver medal in the women’s 3000m. She has chased in the time of 9:27:63 seconds, and Paurl is nine seconds behind the Bahrain runner.
Winfred Mutile Yavi from Bahrain won the gold medal and finished in 9:18:28 seconds, setting a new game record.
