After beating Misratdin Iskandarov in a second-round match of the chess world cup earlier this week, 17-year-old Gukesh outclassed Iskandarov of Azerbaijan in 44 moves of the second game of their second round. Gukesh overtook the record of Indian No. 1 chess player Vishwanathan Anandh and became the Indian No. 1 chess player.
