United States: No Blame on Israel for Gaza Hospital Explosion

US President Joe Biden said that Israel is not behind the Gaza Hospital blast, and Egypt has agreed to open the Rafah crossing into Gaza to allow the first batch of 20 humanitarian aid trucks. The shipment will not cross until Friday because the roads need to be repaired at the crossings. Joe Biden, President of the US, visited Israel on Wednesday after the blast at the Ahli Arab Hospital in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday night.
The sparking fury from the Arab countries blamed Israel, and Muslims were protesting from Egypt to Pakistan. Israel has blasted the bombs in Gaza, and as per the records of the authorities, nearly 3,500 people have been killed since the Hamas crew attacked the Israeli cities on October 7th. The Hamas killed more than 14,00 people, mostly civilians, and took nearly 200 hostages.
In the West Bank today, three Palestinians, including two teenagers, were killed by the Israel Force, as per reports. The Israeli forces have stormed into the villages of Budrus, west of Ramallah, shooting a young man. Gabriel Awad and others were wounded. US President Joe Biden said Tuesday that an “errant rocket” fired by a “terrorist group” caused a devastating explosion at a Gaza hospital that left hundreds dead.
In a statement, White House National Security Council Spokesperson Adrienne Watson said, “The US government assesses that Israel was not responsible for an explosion that killed hundreds of civilians yesterday at the Al Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip. Our assessment is based on available reporting, including intelligence, missile activity, overhead imagery, and open-source video and images of the incident.”
The explosion happened on Tuesday night in Gaza. After this, many Arab leaders said that Israel was responsible for this blast. Hamas officials in Gaza said that the Israeli airstrike killed hundreds of people.
Israel denied these comments and released a flurry of videos, and the other information it said showed the blast was instead due to the rocket misfire by Islamic Jihad. Another terrorist group was operating in Gaza. Islamic Jihad dismissed that claim.
The British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, on Thursday reached Israel and also traveled to nearby countries to stop the crisis, which was triggered by the Hamas attack. As per the Sunak Office, he met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog on Thursday. Rishi Sunak has condemned Hamas’s “horrific act of terror” and expressed condolences for the “terrible loss of life” in both Israel and Gaza.
Joe Biden said, “I understand. Many Americans understand. You can’t look at what has happened here and not scream out for justice. But I caution this: While you feel that rage, don’t be consumed by it. After 9/11, we were enraged in the United States. And while we sought justice and got justice, we also made mistakes.” The United States concluded that Israel is not responsible for the Gaza hospital bomb blast.”I’m not suggesting Hamas deliberately bombed the Gaza hospital.” said Joe Biden.
