Google-powered AI now allows you to create images from text
The Google company has explained to the users that they are searching for something like drawing a picture of a Capybara wearing a chef hat and cooking breakfast. SGE will provide up to four generated images in the result. By tapping on any of those images, they can see how the generative AI has expanded their initial query with descriptive details. The image that has been generated and the generation capability are only available in English in the US to the people who have opted in for the SGE experiment and who are 18 years old. Google said. The tech gain is the upcoming tool called About This Image, and it will help people easily assess the context and credibility of the images. The company has built safeguards into the search experience and blocked the creation of images that run counter to their prohibited use policy for generative AI, including harmful or misleading content.
“As we continue to experiment with bringing generative AI capabilities into Search, we’re testing new ways to get more done as you’re searching — like creating an image that can bring an idea to life, or getting help on a written draft when you need a starting point,” Google said in a blogpost on Thursday.
Google Synth ID is a tool that will identify AI-generated images by embedding an imperceptible watermark into the images, and the watermark of the images is identified by the ID tool even if the images are modified to make changes to their original image. The Google Synth ID tool is important to assess the authenticity of an image.
Here are the steps you have to follow to identify the AI-generated images:
Step 1: Upload the image that you have to detect uploading on the Google SynthID website.
Step 2: The tool will help you scan the image for the watermark.
Step 3: The watermark is found and the tool will display the message and indicate the image is likely AI-generated
Step 4: The Google SynthID tool will provide the confidence level for the identification, and it could be used to assess the accuracy of the result.
