Zelensky met with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and other NATO leaders to discuss the latest developments in the war and to seek additional military support for Ukraine.

Zelensky thanked NATO for its support for Ukraine so far, but he also urged the alliance to provide more heavy weapons, including tanks and aircraft, to help Ukraine defeat Russia.

Stoltenberg praised Zelensky’s leadership and the courage of the Ukrainian people. He also reiterated NATO’s support for Ukraine and said that the alliance would continue to provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine.

The visit comes as Ukraine is preparing for a major Russian offensive in the eastern Donbas region. Zelensky has warned that the battle for the Donbas will be “very difficult” and that Ukraine needs more weapons from NATO to win the war.
