The total expenditure for the Chandrayaan-3 mission is estimated to be around Rs. 615 crore (US$75 million). This includes the cost of the lander, rover, propulsion module, and launch vehicle.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission is a relatively low-cost mission, compared to other lunar missions. This is because it is reusing some of the technology from the Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2 missions

India is the fourth country to soft land on the moon, and India is the first country to land on the south pole of the moon
