Handloom Renaissance: Telangana’s New Program Aims to Benefit Artisans

Telangana has announced some new and revised schemes for the welfare of weavers in Telangana
Telangana Chenetha Maggam Scheme: All Pit Looms will be replaced with Frame Looms
‘Netanna Health Card: Health cards will be issued to weavers
Extension of Nethanaku Bima to weavers in the 59–75 age group
Under revised Chenetha Mithra, Rs 3000 will be directly deposited in the accounts of weavers
Increase in ex gratia to weaver members from Rs 12,500 to Rs 25,000
Pochampally Handloom Park will be revived by the State government.
KTR has shared his celebrations on Twitter on the occasion of National Handloom Day.
He participated with weavers and artists and handed over awards to talented weavers.
Around 25 members received the awards, and on this occasion, he tweeted the new scheme for the handloomers.
