Countdown to Lunar Landing: Chandrayaan 3’s Next Mission Stages

Chandrayaan 3 is prepared to touchdown on the moon’s orbit today, 22 days after leaving the Earth. India wants to be the fourth nation to make a gentle lunar landing.
India aims to be the fourth country on the list of soft landings on the moon. A soft landing means that the landing takes place when the spacecraft lands on the lunar surface and does not crash.
ISRO said that the spacecraft’s journey so far has been amazing, and ISRO tweets on Twitter said, “Hello, this is Chandrayaan 3 with the special update.
I want to let everyone know that it has been an amazing journey for me so far, and now I’m ready to enter the lunar orbit today, August 5, 2023, at around 19:00 hrs IST.
To know where I am and what I’m doing, stay tuned. ISRO’s LVM3-M4/CHANDRAYAAN-3 mission was posted on X on Saturday.
The lunar orbit insertion of Chandryaan-3 is expected to follow the same procedure as Chandryaan-2.
On July 14th, the LVM3 M4 Vehicle was successfully launched Chandrayaan-3 and on August 6, the orbit spacecraft was lower to 170 km x 4,313 km around the moon.
