Terrorist Infiltration Foiled: Army’s Counteraction in Jammu&Kashmir

On Monday, the Army scuttled a terrorist infiltration across Jammu and Kashmir, and one terrorist was gunned down in the encounter.
The terrorist movement was noticed by the army troops in the Degwar sector. Some terrorists were tried in the early hours, around 2 a.m., under a dark sky to sneak inside Kashmir, and army troops identified the terrorist’s movements.
The terrorists tried to sneak inside Kashmir in the early hours, and the alert army foils identified the movements of the terrorists and started the encounter. One terrorist was gunned down in the encounter.
According to the officials, the contact established by the ambush in Garhi Bettalian Two terrorist individual movements were identified by the Army troop’s line of control LOC in the general area of Degwar Terva.
LT Col. Suneel Bartwa said that the terrorist was gunned down as he tried to sneak into the Amrohi area of Tangdhar across the control line.
Still, the terrorist’s body has not yet been recovered from the scene, and another terrorist tried to escape but engaged in the hit and fell down. The operation is underway.
Another terrorist was similarly encountered in the joint operation done by the Indian Army, Kupwara police in Thangdhar Sector, and Kashmir Zone Police.
The Kashmir police zone said that terrorists’ weapons and ammunition were recovered.
