Hockey India vs Japan Match Highlights
The Indian players registered a 1-1 draw and drew the match against the Japanese yesterday. The second match for the Indian team will be on Sunday, August 6th, at 8 p.m. It is the second match for Japan on Friday at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai.
India defeated China 7-2 in the tournament opening match on Thursday. Harmanpreet Singh, captain of the Indian hockey team, scored 1 point for India via penalty. Japan scored the opening goal, and Nagayoshi dragged and flicked the ball into the Indian net.
The first half ended with Japan leading by a goal and India having scored 0. The Indian hockey captain, Harmanpreet Singh, scored a goal by penalty, and at the end of the game, the scores were tied.
India tried to score one more goal against Japan, but the Japanese framed India with their defense at the end of the game with a 1-1 draw. Mandeep Singh has been shown the yellow card and will be out for the whole game. Just 10 players played the game.
